Go for the Gold!
Our entry deadline has been extended...you can continue to enter for several more days! You may miss the Opening Ceremony but we'd love to see your athletes in the Highlights and Closing Ceremony.
Can’t be in Tokyo for the Olympics this year? Don’t feel bad, you’re not alone. But that’s not going to stop us from celebrating this year with our furry athletes! Your furry athlete will have a chance to participate in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as their own highlight on Rescue A Golden’s Social channels.
There are two options for your Golden to participate in the Golden Olympics –
- Participation in Opening & Closing ceremonies ONLY – please submit one photo and we will include him/her in our ceremonies. Make sure to let us know which country your dog was rescued from. If we do not have information, we will assume your dog was rescued domestically. We welcome a $15 donation for participation in our ceremonies. Every country needs its own flag-bearer, so, we’re going to randomly choose two for each country – one for the Opening and one for the Closing.
- Ceremonies + Social highlight – For an additional donation of $10 (or more), we welcome two photos of your talented Golden to take part in our ceremonies and his/her own highlight on our social channels! The "highlight" photo may have a speech/thought bubble on it, if you choose.
Mark your calendar, we’ll be taking your lovely photos from July 8th to July 21st. The photos don’t need be an action shot, after all, some Goldens like us humans are just as content watching others have fun! As a reminder, the Opening Ceremony is July 23rd, so be sure to get your photo(s) to us before the 21st to be included! We can't wait to virtually bring Goldens we have rescued from all over the world together in our own way to honor this spectacular event!
