Only 1 week left to register for the Fiesta Bowl Parade!

Rescue A Golden of Arizona has again been invited to participate in the Fiesta Bowl Parade on Saturday December 17, 2022 at 10AM.

Don't hesitate, sign up today! Come and join the fun, let's begin RAG of AZ's year long celebration of our 25th anniversary with the parade. Imagine, 25 years of saving the lives of Goldens!  What a milestone. Below are the details. You have until Wednesday December 7, 2022 to sign up. We would love to have you join us! There's no limit on the number of walkers with their Goldens, but there will be a limited number of riders on the float.

• Please read all the following carefully. There are 2 categories; walkers and float riders.
  • Members who, along with their Goldens, are capable to walk the parade route (2 miles).
  • Members who, along with their Goldens, ride either on the float or in the bed of the pick-up truck.


• Our timeline to recruit, list and record volunteers to perform in support of RAG of AZ is Wednesday December 7th. (All volunteers will have to sign a waiver of liability for the parade) 


• We are hoping for a really big turn-out, particularly of walkers.


• Please volunteer and email Becky Buck-Wetzel chauncey5164@gmail.com and cc Chris Brant chrisppbrant@gmail.com at your very earliest opportunity. Please state if you will walk or would want to ride on the float.


• Chris Brant (our float builder) is looking for 3-4 volunteers to assist with the assembling and disassembling of the float before and after the parade. He is also looking for a couple of volunteers to assist with signs to be used at the parade. Please email Chris if you would like to volunteer.


• The seating plan on the float will be as last year with members seated facing each side of the street with their Goldens in front of them.


• The walkers will be handing out small bags of dog biscuits that will also include a RAG business card.
