For those who know Mark Preston, sad news and a request

Many of you know our longtime friend, supporter, adopter, and volunteer, Mark Preston.  If you did not meet Mark personally, perhaps you have enjoyed his artistry in the design of several of our past Hearts of Gold calendars.  Mark also created the beautiful visuals on our Annual Campaign cards including “All Creatures Great and Small” from our 2020 holiday fundraiser.  And over the years, the dazzling posters and tee signs you saw at our various golf outings all were the result of Mark’s hard work and artistic talent.  

Mark has notified us that after a long illness his cherished wife, Susan, has joined his beloved Golden Retriever, JJ, at Rainbow Bridge, which he says “provides great comfort for my soul.”  Susan’s obituary may be found below.  Mark has generously asked us to share his wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Rescue A Golden of Arizona here.
